The California Vehicle Code states that if a suspended driver gets caught driving, the vehicle will be towed and impounded by the California Highway Patrol for up to thirty days. In some cases, for instance, you have prior conviction for driving with a suspended license, the vehicle may be taken from you by the state as a forfeit.

Your license may also be be revoked or suspension may be lengthened if you get caught driving with suspended license. You might also be required to pay fines or even go to jail. This is considered as a serious offense in the state of California as well as in other states. You must also show proof of financial responsibility once you suspension is lifted.

Goodluck!
