Anaheim CA car insurance

Living in Anaheim and having to pay for the steep Anaheim CA car insurance prices, but if you’ve been following my advice to parents with teen drivers in other cities in California, then you’ll realize that so long as you address the problems properly and get your teen to follow the proper laws and responsibilities, then it won’t be so bad. Here are a few final tips to take with you.

  • Bring up the booze.

Don’t be scared to bring up the subject of drinking with your teenager, even if they roll their eyes. They might protest that they would never be so irresponsible as to drink and drive, and many wouldn’t, but the truth is that even the most responsible honor student class president kid will mess up at some point.

While some parents would rather not go this route, I suggest that you advise your teen that if they do drink, they need to have a designated driver before hand. This way, they’ll be brought safely home to you (where they will remain, in their room, for the rest of their short lives, of course), and you don’t have to worry about the fact that drinking and alcohol is a big killer on the road. Another thing that could happen if your teen got caught drinking and driving is that you would have to file an SR22 form. If you did this, then your Anaheim CA car insurance rates would basically sky rocket through the roof.

  • Beat the tickets.

If your teen should get a ticket (and most do), then don’t just let that ticket sit and bring your Anaheim CA car insurance rates up. Instead, you can make sure that your teen attends traffic school. Most of the time if they do this, then the ticket can be removed from their record, and voila cheaper Anaheim CA car insurance rates.

  • Be sneaky.

Make sure that you check up on your teen’s driving terchniques frequently, but if you want this to sink in, be sneaky about it. When both of you are going somewhere, let them take the wheel. If they mess up in some way, make sure to point it out and ask them if they know the right way. If they’re doing good, give them some praise.
